Venezuelan flutist Rodrigo Rodriguez has music in his genes, and today he’s playing alongside his musical father.

Rodrigo Rodriguez (flute), 17, hails from Kissimee, Florida, where he is a junior at the Osceola County School for the Arts. He is a recipient of From the Top’s Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award. Rodrigo studies flute with José Antonio Naranjo and performs in the Florida Symphony Youth Orchestras’ Symphonic Orchestra. Rodrigo has participated in the Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles National Festival, and in the National Youth Orchestra 2 (NYO2). He enjoys cooking, traveling, and recently discovered an interest in making animations and video editing.

Daily Joy is a project of From the Top. It began in the very early days of the Covid-19 pandemic and continues today to offer a much-needed respite from the anxiety and worry that we encounter in the world.
