The harp is often known for its angelic sound and arpeggiated chords. But 17-year-old Shaylen Joos shows its more technical side in a brilliant performance!

Shaylen Joos (harp), 16, hails from Somersworth, New Hampshire. She is homeschooled and studies harp with Erica Driscoll. Shaylen has competed and placed in several local competitions, performed with the Nashua Chamber Orchestra, and is a member of Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. One of her recent proudest accomplishments was placing second in the Intermediate II Division at the American Harp Society National Competition. Outside of music, Shaylen enjoys traveling, reading, and writing.
