Gorgeous Cello Octet

Alum Jeremy Tai was inspired by the incredible soundtrack of the animated fantasy series “Legend of Korra”, composed by Jeremy Zuckerman. His arrangement features eight cello parts – all of which he plays himself!

He says: “This music has a really special place in my heart. I have arranged it for eight celli in order to bring out the lush harmonies. It is just so full of joy that playing it almost makes me want to cry.”

Jeremy Tai (cello), 15, is from Cupertino, California and attends Saint Francis High School. He studies with Jonathan Koh at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Pre-College. Jeremy attended the Meadowmount Summer School of Music in 2012 and 2013. In 2012 he was the national winner of the MTNA Junior String Division and a semifinalist in the Stulberg International String Competition. In addition to his musical pursuits, Jeremy is also an avid reader.
