Sharon, Massachusetts Masanobu performs on Show 420.
Masanobu Pires (piano), 11, is a sixth grade student at Sharon Middle School in Sharon, Massachusetts. He started piano at the age of four and is currently studying with Bianca Oglice at New England Conservatory Preparatory School. During the pandemic, Masanobu participated in competitions and festivals through several online platforms. He was given prizes from the Steinway Society Massachusetts Piano Competition, StayHome Young International Competition, and e-Piano Junior Competition 2021. Masanobu has been an active participant in the organization Musicale and he was chosen as a Musicale Outstanding Young Artist. In June 2022, Masanobu held a fundraising concert for the Dana Faber Cancer Institute to honor his cousin, Austin. He is going to have his first orchestra debut with the New England Conservatory Preparatory School Orchestra in January of 2023. Masanobu enjoys the emotions and surprises he feels in music. He wants to connect with the community through piano and make contributions to society through charitable events.
